The One Direction singer turns 21 today – take pity on him, that’s ancient in boyband years.

To celebrate, fans have been tweeting obsessively to make #HappyBirthdayHarryStyles one of the top trending topics worldwide, posting Harry’s baby pictures, and both baking and purchasing cakes. Lots of cakes.

You’d probably say to yourself: “Ah no, they’re not baking cakes for a pop star’s birthday.”

But they are, friends. They are.

There are cakes with Harry’s name on them

Elaborate strawberry confections made “with all my heart”

Cakes with rainbows (to reflect Harry’s love of rainbows, obviously)

Plain cakes that were nonetheless made with love

Cakes with Harry’s face on them

Cakes with actual sugar craft models of Harry on top

And even mams are getting in on the act

Why don’t teenage girls all around the world bake for us on our birthdays? Not fair. You better be sharing all that cake, Harry.
